The ultra-luxury market boosted by Asian customers

We note that demand on the ultra-luxury market is boosted by the presence of foreign buyers mainly from the Middle East, Asia and Europe: 1 in 2 sales in this segment is made by non- French residents at Junot Fine Properties | Knight Frank.

 

If the American clientele was mainly present on the Parisian market in 2022, we are observing an acceleration of Asian clientele in recent times. Chinese and Taiwanese are investing in the capital, in search of exceptional properties worth several millions. Fans of the 8th arrondissement and its golden triangle, Chinese customers view Paris as a financial product; they already own property in London and New York. Paris becomes a strategic placement to complete their collection. These Asian buyers are particularly fond of richly decorated, typically Parisian apartments, larger than 200/300 m², and ideally with a view of the Eiffel Tower. More curious and keen to discover the Parisian art of living, the Taiwanese also have very high budgets and invest more on the Left Bank and on the Ile de la Cité or the Ile Saint-Louis.
