Almost 15 years after its creation by designer Alexandre Mattiussi, the AMI label much beloved by Parisian aesthetes is setting up shop in the vibrant Marais district. Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier, the architectural duo behind Studio KO, have designed this contemporary haven featuring harmonious interaction between concrete, honey-toned wood, and metal-accented details.
Designer seating and sculptural totems from the creative director’s personal collection are dotted around this elegant space paying tribute to a wardrobe defined by effortless sophistication. A radiant, ambitious gallery poised to become the new flagship of this fast-growing Parisian brand.
Ami à Séoul
Cette cohérence architecturale s’exprime avec force dans le flagship de Ami Paris à Séoul, dans le quartier de Hannam. L’espace, visiblement déployé en double hauteur, joue sur une verticalité maîtrisée, accentuée par de larges baies vitrées et des structures métalliques sombres qui encadrent la façade.
À l’intérieur, le contraste est immédiat entre la minéralité claire du sol en pierre et la chaleur des encadrements en bois blond qui structurent les portants comme de véritables portiques architecturaux. Les vêtements semblent intégrés dans l’architecture elle-même, suspendus dans des cadres boisés qui rythment la perspective. Au fond, un large panneau rétroéclairé à trame régulière évoque une paroi inspirée des cloisons traditionnelles asiatiques, diffusant une lumière douce et homogène qui équilibre la profondeur du volume.
À Paris comme à Séoul, l’architecture traduit la vision d’Alexandre Mattiussi, une élégance précise, lisible, où l’espace devient un prolongement naturel du vestiaire.
